Benefits
  • Ready to use. Just add water.
  • Great variety of colors and textures.
  • No need to remove previous pavement.
  • Suitable for foot and road traffic.
  • For interior and exterior situations.
  • Fiber-reinforced.
  • High resistance to abrasion.
  • Shrinkage compensated.
  • High adhesion on concrete.
  • Great impact resistance.
  • Thickness from 10 mm to 40 mm.
Use

Renovation and repair of deteriorated pavements and floors. It allows to make decorative floors in a wide range of finishes and colors. BEYEM FLOOR COLOR ensures the uniformity and stability of the color throughout the applied thickness.

Substrates

BEYEM FLOOR COLOR is suitable for:

  • Existing cementitious floor, terrazzo or mortar.
  • Precast concrete/ concrete slabs or concrete poured on site.
The strength of substrates should be at least 12 MPa.

Preparation of substrates

Substrates must be dry, solid and free of dust, loose and detached parts, paint, wax, oil, rust and all other pollutants. Holes and leaks in the substrate should be sealed.

Where necessary, concrete must be cleaned by sandblasting, high pressure water jetting or other approved mechanical methods. Concrete setting shrinkage must have been completed, otherwise cracks may appear. Clean the dust carefully by suction or water pressure.

Non porous  substrates may be primed with BEYEM UNIÓN MORTEROS. Where necessary, substrate must be treated with mechanical methods. Over absorbent substrates, apply BEYEM PRO diluted 1:1 with water and left the time necessary to drying to the touch.

Instructions for use

Mix BEYEM FLOOR COLOR with a low speed electric mixer or pump machine, with 3,5-5,5 l per bag of clean water until a homogeneous, smooth, flowable, and lump-free mix is obtained. Let the mix stand for 5 minutes before application.

Patterns and tones are easily obtained by choosing the right mouldings and powder colors.

Pour the mixed material onto the surface and spread by trowel to the required thickness. Smooth with the trowel. After a reasonable time, when the mortar  has started hardening, dust or sprinkle the demoulding agent to avoid the adherence of the moulds. The moulds are set and pressed uniformly, so that the pattern is stamped in an even way. Wait 72 hours and then clean the demolding agent from the flooring by means of water pressure jet. Finish the flooring by applying the  hardening resin BEYEM RESINA DE ACABADO  (the use of a pump is highly recommended).

Cautions and recommendations
  • Do not apply below 5ºC or above 30ºC.
  • Protect unset mortar of the direct sunlight, frost or strong wind.
  • Do not use BEYEM FLOOR COLOR  on wet surfaces or on substrates which are subject to rising damp.
  • Do not add aggregates,  additives or  other binders to the BEYEM FLOOR COLOR  mix.
  • High humidity of the substrate and low temperatures  conditions prolong the setting time.
  • Excess of water reduces final mechanical strengths and quickness of setting.
  • Before applying the product, ensure that the residual humidity is below the recommended level (lower than 3%).
  • Mix only sufficient material that can be applied  using available labor and equipment.
  • Respect the proportion of water indicated in each mix avoiding color changes.
  • Time  before light foot traffic  and floor covering can vary depending on the layer thickness and drying conditions.  Check the substrate surface  before  overcoating.
  • Respect the expansion and structural  joints in the substrate and form distribution joints.
